Private Equity

h3gm attorneys have substantial experience representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Representation ranges from major investment events such as initial investment, recapitalization or exit transactions to routine corporate assistance. Our experience allows private equity firm clients to standardize practices across portfolio companies and, in many instances, use h3gm as “outsourced in-house counsel” to meet needs in a cost effective manner. We regularly represent portfolio companies with M&A activity in coordination with their private equity sponsor. h3gm also offers stand-alone due diligence assistance on major transactions involving national or international firms. We also are engaged frequently by  portfolio company management teams at the request of the private equity sponsor in exit transactions, where we are able to successfully assist management with navigating transition issues while remaining sensitive to the broader context of the transaction.

We have recently helped our private equity and portfolio client companies with transactions valued in excess of $1 billion and in industries such as healthcare, information technology, life sciences, consumer and services business. We have assisted portfolio companies of an array of prominent private equity firms, including:
