MICHAEL MILLS, as a member of H³GM’s Corporate Practice Group, assists in many aspects of business transactions, but he gravitates toward mergers and acquisitions and securities work. He enjoys the complexity and detail involved with drafting contracts and agreements, preparing SEC filings, intellectual property and tax work.

Michael came to corporate law after first earning an engineering degree and then spending several years as a management and technology consultant, helping clients re-engineer their business processes. With Deloitte Consulting LLP and his own consulting business, Michael worked with a wide variety of clients throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. He finds the skills he developed as a consultant – particularly the ability to quickly learn a client’s business and create strategic solutions to address their problems – have been useful to him at H³GM. He calls on these skills with each of his clients to ensure he has a good understanding of their objectives and is better able to protect their interests.
