JOHN BRITTINGHAM, head of H3GM’s Commercial Finance Practice Group, represents borrowers, lenders and investors in their debt financing and commercial real estate transactions.

John has more than 25 years experience in commercial finance and works with his clients to negotiate and document credit facilities, mezzanine financings, high-yield debt offerings, interest rate swaps and other financing transactions. 

John’s real estate practice includes representing owners, developers, landlords and tenants. He assists the firm's clients in the purchase and sale of real estate and the leasing of commercial properties.

John also advises lenders and borrowers on financial workouts. He works with his clients to secure new credit facilities and advises them on forbearance agreements and foreclosures.

John, who received a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri before going to law school at Vanderbilt University, has served as the editor of The Tennessee Bar Journal, and wrote several articles for the publication, including “The New Tennessee Uniform Commercial Code” and “Financing the Leasehold Estate.”
