ERNIE HYNE, a respected lawyer in the business community, has spent more than 30 years advising businesses on issues ranging from start-ups to high-profile mergers and acquisitions of public companies. Ernie is best known for his work in the healthcare industry. He counsels hospital systems, hospital management companies, long-term care and rehabilitation companies, specialty healthcare companies, and healthcare information technology companies from formation to public offerings to acquisitions and every transactional matter in between. However, his experience is not limited to healthcare. Throughout the years he has represented a broad range of companies including dairies, rock quarry operators, restaurant franchisers and many others.

Ernie started his legal career focusing on securities regulation, which naturally transitioned into mergers and acquisitions law. Today his practice focuses on start-up issues, venture capital financing, joint venturing, mergers and acquisitions and contract negotiations. Because of his extensive experience with financing transactions for private and public companies, he was asked to serve on the Tennessee Bar Advisory Group on Blue Sky Regulations.

Throughout his career, Ernie has been honored by multiple publications for his work in M&A and healthcare law. He is continuously listed in the two most respected lawyer ranking publications, Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for his work in corporate law. Similarly, The Nashville Business Journal, The Nashville Post, Nashville Medical News and Mid-South Super Lawyers have all listed him in their top lawyer publications for years.

Ernie is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations and was inducted as a fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation in 1997. He has served as the head of H3GM's Corporate Practice Group and as managing partner. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University where he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Securities Regulation.

Ernie has been a guest lecturer at his alma mater, Lipscomb University, for the Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Accountancy programs and is a member of the Lipscomb University College of Business Board of Visitors. In 2006, Ernie was honored with Lipscomb's Distinguished Alumnus Award. Ernie has served on the board and was president of Youth Encouragement Services. He and his family are active in their church, Woodmont Hills Family of God, where Ernie is an elder.
