ELIN HENNINGSSON assists in corporate disputes, employment law matters and bankruptcy cases.

She came to the firm in 2010 with a law degree from Vanderbilt University and experience in the Swedish court system. She was a law clerk and a junior judge in the District Court of Mölndal in Gothenberg, Sweden. During her time on the bench in Gothenberg, she decided bankruptcy, criminal and civil cases.

Her experience in Sweden helped her hone what she considers her greatest strength as a commercial litigator: good judgment and the analytical ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a case.

At Vanderbilt, Elin was on the Dean’s List and received Scholastic Excellence Awards in Corporations and Business Entities and in Legal Research and Scholarly Writing. In Sweden, Elin graduated from Goteborg University with a Juris Kandidat, the equivalent of an American J.D. and LL.M. She also studied at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain.
