Sisters of Mercy Health System: Hospital Disposition to Community Health Systems
H3GM represented the Sisters of Mercy Health System in connection with the sale of Mercy Health Center in Laredo, Texas. CHS/Community Health Systems, Inc. acquired the 326-bed hospital and other related assets. The Sisters of Mercy retained a significant amount of assets in Laredo and surrounding areas. The Sisters of Mercy will use those retained assets, together with a portion of the sale proceeds, in connection with the operation of Mercy Ministries. Mercy Ministries is a charitable organization that will allow the Sisters of Mercy to continue its mission of providing healthcare services to the indigent population in Laredo.
