Delos Insurance Co: Merger of Private Equity Portfolio Company to Southwest Insurance Partners
H3GM represented Delos Insurance Company, a New York-based specialty insurance company, in its merger with Southwest Insurance Partners, Inc. (SWIP). Delos was formed by a private equity consortium led by Lightyear Capital. The combined group has more than $1 billion in total assets, over $625 million in investment assets, and more than $250 million in shareholders’ equity. It is led by recognized industry veteran Stephen Way. The combined company has been renamed Houston International Insurance Group (HIIG) and is based in Houston, Texas. Lightyear Capital continues its ownership interest in HIIG.
