CURTIS CAPELING advises start-up and emerging private and public companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital formation, intellectual property, and technology and e-commerce matters. He routinely assists emerging companies with information technology, software, licensing, and Internet matters. Curtis is a member of the firm’s Corporate, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisition, Securities, and Life Sciences and Biotechnology practice groups and the head of the firm's Technology and Intellectual Property practice group.
Curtis is an editor of the Emerging Companies and Technology Law Report. He is a member of the International Technology Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is also a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations. Curtis received his JD from Vanderbilt University where he was an editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. He received his BA from Washington State University.
