MATT FOSTER represents clients in the areas of real estate and general corporate transactions. He focuses his practice on advising clients in the private and public sectors on matters related to real estate transactions, planning and zoning matters, eminent domain, and municipal law. Currently, Matt serves at the city attorney for the City of Forest Hills.
Matt serves on the adjunct faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he teaches Professional Responsibility. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Tennessee Municipal Attorneys Association, the Tennessee Bar Association’s Real Estate Law Section, and the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law and State and Local Government Law Sections.
Prior to joining H3GM, Matt was the vice president of a marketing and consulting firm in Nashville, Tennessee. He started his career as a special assistant to the mayor of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County.
Matt earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, he was on the dean's list and served as an editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. Matt earned a BA in political science from Emory University.
